Who we are

Xacta Builders is a family owned and operated business. Owners/brothers Russell, Jake and Courtney Shugg have a combined total of over 50 years’ experience, so you’ll be sure to get the best advice and quality service.

Xacta was founded by our father Bill over 40 years ago, and from him we learned that positivity and personal connection with clients are essential to lasting success.

We have a team of trade certified builders and apprentices, including a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) and are experienced with all relevant building codes and legislation.

We specialise in office fitouts, residential and commercial renovations, aluminium windows and doors, suspended ceilings, shops and shop fronts, kitchens and bathrooms, decks, retaining walls, and fencing.

Our services include the whole building lifecycle, including consultation planning and design, project management through to final handover.

No surprises policy means we agree on a plan and price upfront, so you know “xactly” what to expect, at “xactly” the right price.

  • Russell

    DIRECTOR/OPERATIONS MANAGER

    The oldest brother, Russell’s been in the industry for over twenty years, a lot of that time with Xacta.

    Day to day he’s leading the crew, making sure every job meets our quality standards.

    On the weekends, you can find Russell walking his dogs (and sometimes a cat!) and spending time with his kids.

  • Jake

    DIRECTOR/CONTRACTS MANAGER

    If you email or phone, chances are you’ll be talking to Jake. The middle brother, he’s the man with the plan, co-ordinating from the office.

    Outside of work hours, you can find him on the tennis court or brushing up on his golf swing.

  • Courtney

    DIRECTOR/HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGER

    Courtney is known for his sharp mind and upbeat nature.

    His sense of fun and positivity builds trust on site, while his professional attitude ensures every project meets our high standards of care and accountability.

    Courtney has two kids who keep him busy outside of work, and enjoys playing video games.
